Event Description

MECATX is planning a bluegrass/old time jams session on Sunday's June 8, and July 6 at 6:00 p.m. ( food - bring picnic meal ), 7:00 Jam session, 8:30 star gazing, 10:00 end, at the Stillhouse Lake in Bell County, ( near Killeen, Texas ) Union Grove Camping Site, around sites 31, 32, 33, and 35. Musicians with acoustic instruments are welcome to join us. Bring lawn chairs, binoculars, telescopes. You can come for just the jam session or the overnight camping. You will need a reservation for the overnight camping at about $16. Call 1-877-444-6777 or goto the web site www.recreation.gov to make reservations for tent or camper sites.
