Texas Independence Day Celebration

The program will be divided into three interactive segments. One will feature how to sing songs about Texas. Sheet music with lyrics will be provided. Anyone can play a C melody instrument, such as a recorder, violin, piano, etc., along with the performers. All participants can sing along with the performers. Another segment will feature how to do Cotton Eyed Joe, a Texas dance and song. Also included will be how to do some simple clogging steps. Sheet music and cue sheets will be provided. Another segment will include a Texas fiddler demonstrating old time Texas music that used to be used in Texas for recreation. He will be accompanied by a banjo player. Each segment will last about 15 minutes and will end with a question an interactive answer session. An internet back channel will be provided during the program for chatting. Also a interactive poll will be included in the last fifteen minute session.
